ZEGNA and VISIBLE Award 2026 Fellowship to GOODLand in the Philippines

During Art Basel in Basel, ZEGNA and VISIBLE announced GOODLand as the recipient of the 2026 VISIBLE Situated Fellowship. GOODLand is a community-based artistic and environmental platform founded by artist Martha Atienza on Bantayan Island, Philippines. The fellowship, part of a collaboration between VISIBLE and Fondazione Zegna, supports artist-led initiatives embedded within communities, focusing on social and environmental challenges. GOODLand, founded in 2020, works with local fisherpeople, farmers, and residents on ecological advocacy, research, and participatory projects, including reducing pollution from compressor diving and coastal clean-ups. The fellowship emphasizes long-term support over spectacle, aligning with ZEGNA's history of environmental stewardship through Oasi Zegna and its cultural platform ZEGNART. VISIBLE, founded by Cittadellarte – Fondazione Pistoletto under Michelangelo Pistoletto, shifted from awards to Situated Fellowships in 2022. The selection highlights art as a catalyst for resilience and community care.
