Vietnamese State Prize Awarded to Translated Children's Book by Austrian Author Mira Lobe

The Vietnamese translation of Austrian author Mira Lobe's children's book 'Die Omama im Apfelbaum' has received the Vietnamese State Prize for the best book publication of the year. The award-winning translation was completed by Chu Thu Phuong, who also translated three additional works by Lobe. The book was recently published by Kim Dong, Vietnam's largest children's book publisher, under license from the Austrian publishing house Jungbrunnen. The announcement was made in a press release dated March 31, 2026. The original work is considered a classic in Austria, and this recognition marks significant international appreciation for Lobe's literary contribution. The award highlights the cross-cultural appeal of children's literature and the successful collaboration between Austrian and Vietnamese publishing entities.
