VI Certamen de Libro de Artista VALL-ÉS convocado por Centre d’Art La Rectoria

The Centre d’Art La Rectoria, located in the Montseny Natural Park (Biosphere Reserve), has announced the sixth edition of its artist book competition, VALL-ÉS. Open to artists aged 18 and over worldwide, the contest invites submissions of unpublished, original artist books in any format (max 50x70 cm open). The theme is free, but works must not contain hazardous materials. Entries must be submitted via email to artrectoria@gmail.com by July 24, 2026, including up to five images, a registration form, a declaration of originality, and a brief CV. The jury—comprising Albert Cubells, Gloria Ortega, Pedro Pich, Stefano Puddu, Rob Dubois, and three external experts, with Mercè Jordà as secretary—will select works for exhibition based on originality, aesthetic expression, composition, creativity, and technical procedures. The winner will be announced at the opening on October 10, 2026, and will receive a weekend stay at the centre and a feature on its website. Selected works will be exhibited from October 10 to November 8, 2026. The centre, which opened 39 years ago, runs residency and grant programs for international artists.
