Paál employs generative artificial intelligence to create portraits that capture memory lapses, visual remnants, and internal tensions, presenting these as tangible expressions of identity formation and distortion. The figures appear suspended against empty backgrounds, directing focus entirely on the body and its presence. This approach creates an emotional distance that encourages viewers to pause and examine subtle expressions and gestures often overlooked. The artist uses a restrained warm-toned palette to maintain control and avoid excess, ensuring attention remains on the minimalistic details.
