Thom Browne Honored at The Center's Annual Fashion Centered Dinner

The 12th annual Fashion Centered fundraising dinner took place on Monday night at The Center, located on West 13th Street in New York City, marking the start of Pride month. Designer Thom Browne was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award, contributing to a fundraising total exceeding $275,000. Established in 1983 amid the AIDS crisis, The Center now serves over 300,000 individuals each year. Browne attended with his partner, Andrew Bolton, the Costume Institute curator at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Notable attendees included Jenna Lyons, Brad Goreski, and Sam Pinkleton, many donning Browne's designs. Janelle Monáe presented the award, commending Browne's vision. Dr. Carla Smith, The Center's CEO, spoke, while Jill Schlesinger led a fundraising effort, with Monáe donating $5,000. Broadway performer Zachary Noah Piser entertained guests, who enjoyed cocktails in the garden courtyard and dinner beneath Keith Haring's 1989 mural, Once Upon A Time. CFDA CEO Steven Kolb lauded Browne's genuine spirit.
