Swedish Artist Jonas Lund Wins 2025 Digital Arts Prize, Explores Algorithmic Art

Swedish artist Jonas Lund has been awarded the 2025 Digital Arts Prize from the Fondation Etrillard and Académie des beaux-arts. Lund, who describes himself as a conceptual artist, creates work examining technology's impact on society through diverse media including painting, installation, digital prints, and coding. His 2022 solo exhibition in Linz, Austria, titled 'Studio visit: How to Make Art in the Age of Algorithms,' exemplifies his critical approach to digital culture. Lund's practice questions platform mechanisms, political influences, and stereotypes while maintaining a humorous tone. He has upcoming exhibitions in Berlin from April 16 to May 29.
