Smiljan Radić's Architecture of Distraction and Knowledge

Smiljan Radić, the 2026 Pritzker Architecture Prize laureate, delivered his Laureate Lecture titled "Architecture: Distraction and Knowledge." In the lecture, he reframed distraction not as a lack of focus but as a mode of receiving the world, where peripheral encounters—travel, ruins, cities, stories, industries, and materials—allow architectural knowledge to accumulate slowly.
