Senga Nengudi Receives Robert Rauschenberg Foundation's Centennial Award

The Robert Rauschenberg Foundation has granted its Centennial Award to American visual artist Senga Nengudi. This honor, marking the 100th anniversary of Robert Rauschenberg's birth, also went to performance artist David Thomson, writer Patricia Spears Jones, and photographers Chandra McCormick and Keith Calhoun. Each awardee gets $100,000 for unrestricted purposes. Foundation executive director Courtney J. Martin noted the recipients reflect Rauschenberg's collaborative and experimental ethos. The award was announced in a press statement.
