Scottish Nature Photography Awards 2025 Winners Announced, Featuring Toby Houlton's 'Dance of the Gnats'
The 2025 winners of the Scottish Nature Photography Awards (SNPA) have been revealed, with Toby Houlton from Invergordon awarded the title of Scottish Nature Photographer of the Year for his piece 'Dance of the Gnats,' which also secured him the top spot in the Scottish Wildlife Behaviour category. Judge Niall Irvine commended Houlton's innovative approach. Meanwhile, 14-year-old Kiran Simpson from Dunfermline earned the title of Junior Scottish Nature Photographer of the Year for 'The Leaf Eater.' Rob Henderson was recognized as Student Scottish Nature Photographer of the Year for 'In the Time Between,' and James Appleton took home the Scottish Nature Video Award for his documentary on the Stac Pollaidh wildfire.
