Sarah Alberti Wins ADKV-Art-Cologne Prize for Art Criticism

The 2024 ADKV-Art-Cologne Prize for Art Criticism has been conferred upon Sarah Alberti, an art historian, moderator, and author hailing from Leipzig. This accolade, awarded by the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Deutscher Kunstvereine (ADKV) in partnership with the Art Cologne fair, includes a monetary prize of €5,000 and acknowledges the contributions of freelance journalists. Born in 1989, Alberti contributes to Monopol, Der Freitag, and Die Tageszeitung (taz), and her scholarly efforts feature a dissertation on the 1990 exhibition "Die Endlichkeit der Freiheit Berlin 1990." The jury commended her for framing East Germany as a vital aspect of the unified German art narrative. The award ceremony will take place during Art Cologne, scheduled for November 8 to 11. Past winners include Noemi Y. Molitor and Antje Stahl.
