Rosa Tharrats and Andrés Izquierdo selected for FMJJ and AC/E international residencies

The third International Artistic Residencies Program, organized by the María José Jove Foundation Art Center (FMJJ) and Acción Cultural Española (AC/E), has chosen Rosa Tharrats and Andrés Izquierdo to foster collaboration between Spain and Latin America. From September to mid-October, they will conduct research in Mexico City and Oaxaca with the assistance of local cultural organizations. Tharrats (1983) aims to create 'Tejer el agua,' which links textile arts to community water management through wearable sculptures and a public performance. Izquierdo (1993) will work on 'Emanaciones,' investigating material transformation by gathering local materials to construct suspended sculptures. Both artists will receive workspace, accommodation, production aid, travel funding, and mentorship from Luz Massot. Launched in 2024, the program now features six participants.
