Prince William Surprises Graham Norton Audience in Earthshot Prize TV Special

Late Friday night at 10:40 PM, Prince William surprised everyone by popping up on a special episode of The Graham Norton Show that focused on the Earthshot Prize, which aired on BBC One. He joined actors Cate Blanchett, Robert Irwin, and Hannah Waddingham after Graham invited him into the conversation, prompting cheers from the audience. They discussed how it's important to blend urgency with hope regarding climate change. Launched in 2020, the prize draws inspiration from JFK's Moonshot initiative and aims to highlight solutions for environmental repair. Each of the five categories awards £1 million, with the winners to be announced in Mumbai this November. William will be involved until 2030, and the 2025 ceremony in Rio will feature notable guests and performances. He emphasized that the winners demonstrate that progress is achievable.
