award · 2026-09-21

The Fundación Rogelio Salmona has opened the call for the fifth cycle of the Premio Latinoamericano de Arquitectura Rogelio Salmona, under the theme "Espacios que nos unen." The prize seeks architecture that has transformed collective life and the relationships between people and the places they inhabit. Submissions must be built works completed between 2010 and 2020 in Latin America and the Caribbean, and must have contributed to the social transformation of their surroundings through open spaces. The award recognizes projects whose architectural qualities have generated open spaces enabling community encounter and appropriation. A jury of five architects — Daniel Bonilla (Colombia), Francesco Careri (Italy), Nicolás Campodonico (Argentina), Gabriela Carrillo (Mexico) and Marta Moreira (Brazil) — will select works demonstrating respectful integration into their context, promotion of collective use, and meaningful relationships with the city and its inhabitants. The call is open to the various actors linked to the works, who may submit projects meeting the criteria set out in the terms of reference. Registration closes Friday, 30 October 2026. Terms of reference are available at fundacionrogeliosalmona.org/convocatoriaquintociclo, the registration form at fundacionrogeliosalmona.org/registroquintociclo, and further information at fundacionrogeliosalmona.org/premiosalmona.
