Piramidón Opens Third Call for Jordi Fulla Prize

Piramidón Centre d'Art Contemporani in Barcelona has launched the third edition of the Premi Jordi Fulla, a residency prize for established visual artists. The award honors Jordi Fulla (Igualada, 1967–2019), who was among the first artists to set up his studio at Piramidón, working there from 1991 to 2005. The residency lasts two months in a live-work studio of 70–120 square meters with natural light, valued at €4,000, including €1,500 in fees and up to €500 for production. The selected artist also gains access to the center's library, technical workshop, meeting room, and terrace, plus professional networking and a chance to participate in a group exhibition. Applicants must have held at least one solo exhibition in the last three years and participated in a national or international art fair. The winner must join the group exhibition, credit the prize, and donate a work made during the residency. Travel and living expenses are the artist's responsibility. The jury includes Piramidón team members, artist Jo Milne, and 2025 winner Taylor Anton White, whose painting explores chaos and control through large-scale compositions combining paint, collage, and assemblage. Previous winners include Alícia Vogel and Guillermo Mora. Applications are due by July 31, 2026, via a single PDF with CV, portfolio, and project description. The winner will be announced on September 23, 2026.
