award · 2026-09-23

At the sixth annual Natural Landscape Photography Awards (NLPA), Lukas Furlan was awarded Photographer of the Year. After finishing as a runner-up the previous year, he triumphed this time with a collection of macro ice photographs and mountain landscapes. Much of his inspiration stemmed from his inaugural solo journey in Spain, alongside locations in Vienna and the Dolomites. Abraham Saikley captured Photograph of the Year with his stunning image of a mountain range, while Gabriel Stankiewicz received the best project accolade for his series featuring pine forests in Norway, the Canary Islands, and Scotland. The competition showcased 11,929 entries from 1,086 photographers across 52 nations, with 170 images making it to the finals. NLPA maintains rigorous authenticity standards.
