Museum Professional Visits National Museums Scotland Collections Centre with Development Grant

Caitlin Jamison, a National Trust for Scotland staff member, toured the National Museums Scotland Collections Centre in Granton, Edinburgh in 2022. The visit was funded by a £190 award from the Scottish Museums Federation's Professional Development Fund, which Jamison received in August 2022. During the tour, she met with Katie Haworth, a preventive conservator, to discuss collections management techniques for a new storage facility she is developing at Drum Castle. The visit provided practical knowledge about object supports, textile conservation, and environmental controls for museum collections.
