Minwoo Lee Wins 2024 Paula Riff Award, Exhibition Opens at Center for Photographic Art
Minwoo Lee, an artist and educator in Houston, has just received the 2024 Paula Riff Award. This award, established in 2021 by Lenscratch and the Center of Photographic Art, honors the innovative spirit of the late experimental photographer Paula Riff. It recognizes artists pushing the boundaries of photography with handmade techniques. Diane Chung from Chung 24 Gallery chose Lee for his unique approach to blending observation with emotional depth, employing traditional methods and new materials. His works, 'Cadastral (Error)' and 'Parcel, Misfolded,' are featured in the exhibition 'Changing the Narrative: The First 5 Years of Paula Riff Award Winners' at the Center for Photographic Art in Carmel, open until July 26, 2026.
