Minderoo Artist Fund Supports Mid-Career Artists in Western Australia

Established in 2020, the Minderoo Artist Fund provides assistance to mid-career artists in Western Australia through $40,000 project grants and six-week residencies at Forrest Hall, each valued at $25,000. The deadline for applications is 15 September, with six grants and two residencies available. Tim Meakins utilized his residency for his project 'Laying Down and Looking Up', which led to the creation of 15 new artworks and a 224-page book titled 'Made From Stone'. Andrea Gibbs was awarded a $35,000 grant for her play 'The Way We Go About It', which tackles the topic of voluntary assisted dying. This year, the fund will present a $50,000 Minderoo Artist Award and a $15,000 Georgia Malone Artist Prize, having supported over 60 artists since its inception.
