Miguel Novelo Named 2026 Artadia Awardee During ICA San José Show

Miguel Novelo, an artist connected with the Institute of Contemporary Art San José (ICA), has been honored as a recipient of the 2026 San Francisco Bay Area Artadia Award. This announcement coincides with his solo exhibition at ICA San José, which will be available until August 23, 2026. Earlier this year, Novelo was also recognized as a 2026 Knight Arts + Tech Fellow. Alongside Morehshin Allahyari and Maya Fuji, he was chosen as one of the awardees from a pool of finalists that included Mark Baugh-Sasaki, Soleé Darrell, and Daniel Arthur Mendoza. The award offers unrestricted funding to acknowledge artistic excellence and encourage ongoing creative endeavors, supported by a lead donor.
