Miart 2023 Awards: Herno, LCA, Covivio, and More Winners Announced

During Milan Art Week, the 2023 miart, an international fair for modern and contemporary art led by Nicola Ricciardi, showcased 169 galleries from 27 nations. Notable awards included the €10,000 Herno Prize, awarded to ERMES ERMES and LC Queisser for Luisa Gardini and Ser Serpas, and the €4,000 LCA Prize for Emergent, given to HOA Galeria for Kelton Campos Fausto. Lorenza Longhi received the €20,000 Covivio Prize for her site-specific installation. Additionally, Haris Epaminonda's marble piece for Museo del Novecento in 2024 was supported by the Fondazione Henraux Sculpture Commission. Other accolades included the €10,000 Orbital Cultura – Nexi Digital Prize to Francesco Jodice and the €10,000 Matteo Visconti di Modrone Prize to June Crespo. The Rotary Club Milano Brera Prize was awarded to Binta Diaw, while Fondazione Fiera Milano purchased nine artworks for €100,000. Giulia Morazzo emerged victorious in the VIAPADOVAMONDO contest.
