Luiss Business School Opens Tenth Generazione Contemporanea Prize on Doomscrolling and Digital Attention
The Luiss Business School is hosting the tenth Premio Internazionale Generazione Contemporanea, inviting artists under 35 to delve into themes of individuality, technology, and digital consumption. For 2026, the focus will be on the attention economy, identity fragmentation, and doomscrolling. Drawing inspiration from David Foster Wallace's 1996 work Infinite Jest, artists can submit one piece—either new or completed—that has not received prior recognition, free of charge. All artistic mediums are welcome. A jury featuring curator Luca Lo Pinto will assess the entries. The top three submissions will be showcased, with the first-place winner receiving a prize of 4,000 euros and their artwork added to Luiss Business School's permanent collection. Submissions are due by 30 October 2026 at 13:00; further information is available on the Luiss website.
