LABoral and Port of Gijón Announce 2026 Artistic Production Residency Grant

LABoral Centro de Arte y Creación Industrial and the Port Authority of Gijón have launched a production grant for a residency program. The initiative supports one artistic project that engages with themes related to ports, seas, or oceans, aligning with LABoral's focus on art, technology, and society. Open to individual visual artists or collectives residing in Spain, applications are accepted from March 2 to 27, 2026. The selected participant receives €6,000 gross for fees and production, with travel and accommodation covered. The residency runs from mid-June to mid-July 2026, culminating in a public exhibition at the Antigua Rula exhibition hall from July 23 to August 30, 2026. A jury comprising representatives from both institutions and an external expert will evaluate proposals based on artistic merit, innovation, and relevance to maritime contexts.
