King Charles III's 2026 Birthday Honours: Ron Arad, Alison Brooks, Max Lamb, Faye Toogood among recognized

Ron Arad received a CBE, the highest honor among those listed, for pioneering collectible design with pieces like the Rover Chair. Peter Rowland Tudor St John of Caruso St John also received a CBE for innovative renovation projects including Damien Hirst's Stirling Prize-winning Newport Street gallery. OBEs went to Alison Brooks, the only UK architect to win the Stirling Prize, Manser Medal, and Stephen Lawrence Prize; Tony Fretton, known for cultural buildings like Camden Arts Centre and Fuglsang Kunstmuseum; Mina Hasman, sustainability director at Skidmore Owings & Merrill, for climate literacy and net-zero design; David Birkbeck, founder of Design for Homes; and David Bonnett, an inclusive design consultant. MBEs were awarded to Faye Toogood, known for the Roly Poly chair and Puffy lounger; Max Lamb, a furniture designer emphasizing the making process; and design journalist Barbara Chandler, who founded Green Grads at age 78.
