Jo Scicluna wins 2026 Omnia Art Prize Major Prize

Jo Scicluna, an artist from Melbourne, has received the $15,000 Major Prize at the 2026 Omnia Art Prize & Exhibition for her creation, Where the Land Remembers You #2 (2025). This work is a sculptural photographic piece that combines warped archival inkjet print on cotton rag paper with clear acrylic and painted Tasmanian Oak timber, measuring 45 × 45cm. Scicluna’s artistic practice employs a sculptural lens in photography, examining the complexities of colonized landscapes, where the frame serves as both a conceptual and physical structure. Additionally, Claire Bridge was awarded the $2,500 Small Sculpture Prize for her piece, Cup II.
