Hopper Prize Fall 2026 Open Call: $13,000 in Grants for Visual Artists

The Hopper Prize has announced an open call for its Fall 2026 artist grants, inviting visual artists and photographers worldwide to apply. The program offers six awards totaling $13,000 USD, with two artists receiving $4,500 each and four artists receiving $1,000 each. Beyond financial support, selected artists gain access to an international network of curators, artists, gallerists, and arts professionals. All selected artists will be featured in the 'Hopper Prize Journal' and on the prize's Instagram feed, which has over 160,000 followers. Additionally, 30 artists will be shortlisted for this extra visibility. The prize emphasizes diversity and has previously recognized artists from Germany, including Johanna Seidel from Dresden, Saxony (2025), Alex Bex from Berlin (2024), and Ingmar Björn Nolting from Leipzig (2023). Artists over 18 are eligible, and there is a non-refundable $40 application fee. The deadline is November 17, 2026, at 11:59 PM PST, with applications submitted via hopperprize.org.
