HIMACS Terrazzo Adds Five New Colourways, Wins Red Dot Design Award 2026

HIMACS has expanded its terrazzo-inspired collection with five new colourways, which have been recognized with a Red Dot Design Award 2026 in the product category. The new colours—Terrazzo Ulivo, Terrazzo Nuvola, Terrazzo Sorrento, Terrazzo Marsala, and Terrazzo Selva—reinterpret the timeless material technique through rich textures, a balanced colour palette, and mineral-inspired patterns. The collection incorporates SCS-certified pre-consumer recycled content, with Terrazzo Selva featuring 25% recycled content, one of the highest levels in HIMACS' portfolio. According to Martin Saxby, director of HIMACS UK, the integration of production offcuts supports a more circular approach to manufacturing. HIMACS is free of silica, nanoparticles, formaldehyde, and VOCs, making it a safe choice for various environments. The versatile surface is suitable for hospitality, retail, workplace, and residential settings, offering the aesthetics, durability, and ease-of-maintenance associated with terrazzo. The announcement was made via Dezeen Showroom, a platform for brands to launch new products to Dezeen's global audience.
