Fondation Desperados Unveils Five Winners of Inaugural Urban Art Bursary
The Fondation Desperados pour l’art urbain has revealed the recipients of its inaugural Bourse de soutien: Camille Gendron, Simon Lazarus 84, Nelio, Riad, and Yseult. Selected from a pool of nearly 300 submissions by an eight-member jury, each artist will receive €10,000, professional mentorship, and a critical essay. Their findings will be showcased in Paris as a research space in autumn 2026. The jury comprised Magda Danysz, David Demougeot, Jessica Hartley dit Rouge, Olivier Landes, Loïc Le Gall, Stéphanie Lemoine, along with representatives from Fondation Desperados, Stéphane Carricondo and Julie Meunier. Founded in 2018 by Groupe HEINEKEN, the foundation promotes contemporary urban art through diverse initiatives, with each artist delving into distinct themes and mediums.
