Eighth Lihpao Sculpture Biennial Offers USD 45,000 First Prize

The Eighth Lihpao Sculpture Biennial Awards have begun accepting submissions, organized by the Lihpao Cultural Arts Foundation in collaboration with the Austrian Office Taipei and with the support of Taiwan's Ministry of Culture. This competition features a grand prize of USD 45,000 and a silver prize of USD 25,000. It invites artists aged 18 and above from around the globe to submit works intended for long-term display that reflect contemporary sculptural practices. An international panel comprising artists, curators, and scholars will assess the submissions. Since its launch, the event has engaged 1,347 artists from 68 nations and honored over 100 winners. Applications are due by 30 September 2026. Established in 2003, the foundation fosters artistic growth and cultural exchange through various initiatives.
