award · 2026-04-07

Dezeen Awards 2026 has unveiled four new judges for its architecture, interiors, and design panels. Architect Massimiliano Fuksas, co-founder of Studio Fuksas, will join the architecture jury, bringing expertise from his global practice with offices in Rome, Paris, and Shenzhen, known for parametric designs like the Shenzhen airport terminal and a Rome convention center. Designer Zandra Rhodes, a British fashion and textile designer, will judge design entries; her work is held in collections at the V&A and the Museum of Modern Art, and she released a 26-piece collection for IKEA in 2020. Stockholm-based interior designer Tekla Evelina Severina, founder of Teklan Studio, joins the interiors panel, focusing on color and dimensionality, with recent projects including a geometric textile flooring collection for Radici. London-based artist Tawanda Chiweshe, co-founder of Studio YY and creative director of Alaska Alaska, will also judge design; he previously collaborated with Virgil Abloh on projects for IKEA and Vitra. The awards, in partnership with Trimble, have received entries from 75 countries, with a submission deadline of 27 May 2026 to avoid late fees.
