Dezeen Awards 2026 Announces Judges Including Ma Yansong and Jo Barnard

Four new judges have been appointed for the Dezeen Awards 2026, which recognizes global achievements in architecture, interiors, and design. The panel includes Beijing-born architect Ma Yansong, founder of MAD Architects, who recently won Dezeen Awards 2025 Architect of the Year and was named among Time magazine's most influential architects. Jo Barnard, founder of London-based Morrama, will judge design entries; she won the Bentley Lighthouse Award 2025 and co-founded the environmental nonprofit Design Declares. Somali-Italian architect Omar Degan, founder of DO Architecture Group and the Pan-African Biennale based in Mogadishu, joins the architecture panel. British-Nigerian artist and designer Miminat Shodeinde, founder of Miminat Designs, will judge interiors. The awards program, partnered with Trimble, has received entries from 75 countries. Submissions remain open until May 27, 2026.
