De.Tales Wins Cantori Design Challenge 2026 for Yacht Interior Concept

De.Tales studio has won the second edition of the Cantori Design Challenge: dalla terra al mare with its project Presence. The competition, organized by the Marche-based furniture company Cantori in partnership with explorer yacht builder Cantiere delle Marche, explores the intersection of home, hospitality, outdoor, and nautical design. Nine studios, all newcomers to the nautical sector, were tasked with reinterpreting the Owner Cabin, Main Saloon, and Main Aft Deck of a Flexplorer 146 yacht using Cantori's aesthetic and material language, inspired by music as a narrative device. Dainelli Studio took second place with The Unseen Side of Luxury, while b-arch (Scion Scion) and Giò Forma (Morricone Reloaded) tied for third. The jury comprised Vasco Buonpensiere (founder and CEO of Cantiere delle Marche), Désirée Sormani (managing director of The One Yacht & Design), Alessandro Valenti (director of elledecor.it and About), and Arianna Bionda (architect, researcher, and director of the Executive Interior Yacht Design Master at Politecnico di Milano). Projects were evaluated on expressive strength, originality, aesthetic coherence, space optimization, functionality, comfort as a sensorial and luxury experience, and storytelling effectiveness. The award ceremony will take place during the Monaco Yacht Show, scheduled from September 23 to 26.
