Danish Fashion Brands Vie for Wessel & Vett Prize with New Format and Focus on Sustainability

The 2026 Wessel & Vett Prize, the largest fashion accolade in Scandinavia, has four finalists: Berner Kühl, Bonnetje, Caro Editions, and O. Files. This award, created by the Wessel & Vett foundation to honor Emil Vett and Theodor Wessel, has previously recognized designers such as Cecilie Bahnsen and 2025's Nicklas Skovgaard. Each finalist is awarded 75,000 DKK (approximately $11,000), while the overall winner will receive 300,000 DKK (around $47,000). The jury conducted mentorship sessions with each brand. Berner Kühl specializes in minimalist menswear, Bonnetje transforms suits into feminine designs, Caro Editions presents vintage-inspired pieces, and O. Files merges tailoring with streetwear. The winner will be revealed during Copenhagen Fashion Week's spring 2027 edition.
