award · 2026-10-03

This week, Create NSW unveiled the Creative Collaboration Fund, aimed at promoting partnerships between arts festivals and local councils or venues. The initiative seeks to enhance cooperation within the arts community. Furthermore, two new commission opportunities for visual artists were revealed, including the 2026 Regional Arts Touring (Round 2) grant. This grant is designed to help artists and arts organizations based in New South Wales with expenses related to touring their work in regional areas, supporting both small and large-scale tours of live performances, exhibitions, and cultural programs suitable for audiences of all ages. Opportunities will be available from 28 September to 4 October 2026, including residencies and mentorships for artists in Sydney. Accompanying the announcement is an image of 'Hive of Industry' by Legs On The Wall, showcased at the Power Up Festival at White Bay Power Station, captured by Anna Kucera.
