Brick Awards 2026 Honors Global Ceramic Architecture

The Brick Awards 2026 took place in Vienna, organized by Wienerberger, honoring exceptional brick and ceramic architecture globally. Out of 50 projects from 21 countries, six were awarded. The top honor, the Grand Prize, went to the Đạo Mẫu Temple and Museum in Soc Son, Vietnam, created by ARB Architects for folk artist Xuân Hinh. This impressive 5,000-square-meter structure recycled six million clay tiles from more than 500 local homes. The Feeling at Home award recognized Ca na Birgit, a 194-square-meter residence in Mallorca, Spain, designed by TEd'A Arquitectes. In Barcelona, a mixed-use development by Peris+Toral Arquitectes earned the Living Together award. The Working Together award celebrated La Hacienda Jalisco in Mexico, and the Building Outside the Box award went to the Endless Brick Playground at the China Academy of Art. A new Special Prize was also awarded to Maker for a project in Kortrijk, Belgium. Wienerberger's CEO, Heimo Scheuch, highlighted the role of brick in tackling climate challenges.
