Booooooom Announces 2026 Art and Photo Book Award with Free Publishing Opportunity

Booooooom has launched its 2026 Art & Photo Book Award in partnership with Bookmobile, offering artists, illustrators, and photographers the chance to have their work published at no personal expense. The initiative will select eight projects: six to be developed into full books and two into perfect-bound zines. Submissions require finished, cohesive series rather than incomplete works. While anyone can submit one zine proposal without charge, book proposals require either Booooooom membership or a $20 early-bird fee, with members enjoying unlimited submissions. The deadline is June 5, 2026, at 11:59 PM PST. Bookmobile, an independent printer based in Minneapolis with decades of experience, will handle production, and selected creators retain full design control. The award aims to support artistic publication by removing financial barriers.
