BilbaoArte Opens Call for 2026-2027 Production Grants

BilbaoArte Fundazioa has announced a call for up to eleven production grants for the 2026-2027 period, aimed at professional artists. The grants include nine open production grants, one Silver grant for artists over fifty, and one EHU grant for students of the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of the Basque Country (EHU). The duration is ten months, from September 15, 2026, to July 15, 2027. Selected artists receive a studio, access to workshops (Digital Image, MediaLab, Sculpture, Serigraphy and Printmaking), a monthly stipend of €1,350 (€13,350 total), possible shared housing, and technical support. Applications must be submitted by May 10, 2026, via email to convocatorias@bilbaoarte.bilbao.eus. The selection results will be announced before June 10, 2026. The grants are incompatible with other concurrent production aids. Artists must attend at least 75% of the residency and complete their project within the period. Additionally, three artists may be selected for a solo exhibition at Sala URIBITARTE40 the following year.
