BelgianArtPrize 2027 Awards Special Jury Prizes to Jot Fau, Ariane Loze, and Guy Woueté
The BelgianArtPrize 2027 jury, impressed by the quality of submissions, awarded three Special Jury Prizes alongside the main laureate selection. Jot Fau, Ariane Loze, and Guy Woueté will each receive €5,000 and participate in a group exhibition at the Ixelles Museum in late 2027. A conversation with the winners will be moderated by prize director Roxane Baeyens on Sunday, April 26, from 4:00 to 4:50 PM at the Tribune. Jot Fau, born in 1987, creates multidisciplinary works including sculptures, installations, and performance costumes that explore identity and memory. Brussels-born video artist Ariane Loze, represented by Galerie Michel Rein, examines perspective and identity through minimalist productions. Guy Woueté, a Cameroonian artist based in Antwerp, Douala, and Penja, investigates colonialism and migration through various media. Baeyens holds a Master's in Art Sciences from Ghent University and manages the Brussels Jazz Orchestra. Rossella Biscotti was named the 2027 laureate.
