AZ Awards 2026 Gala Celebrates Design Excellence in Toronto
On May 28, AZURE hosted the 16th annual AZ Awards Gala at the St. Lawrence Market North Building in Toronto, designed by RSHP with Adamson Associates Architects and ERA Architects. Over 400 architects, designers, and urbanists attended. The venue featured an archway of illuminated berry baskets by RAW Work and a 12-metre-long food installation by Forno Cultura inspired by The Garden of Earthly Delights. Montauk Sofa provided lounge settings. Comedian Miguel Rivas emceed. Winners included Aamp Studio (Emerging Architecture), smallmediumlarge (Emerging Industrial Design), and By Lemoignan (Emerging Interior Design). Trophies were designed by Jake Oliveira. Category winners included Montgomery Sisam for Koffler Scientific Reserve, SLA for Gronningen Bispeparken, and 1120 Ossington for Social Good. The gala was presented by Fisher & Paykel, with Keilhauer as EMERGING sponsor.
