AZ Awards 2026: 28 Winners Announced Across Architecture, Design, and Social Good
Azure Magazine has announced the winners of its 16th annual AZ Awards, celebrating 28 projects from around the world at a gala event. The awards span categories including architecture, design, interiors, urban design, concepts, experiential graphic design, social good, and environmental leadership. Notable winners include MacKay-Lyons Sweetapple Architects' Hilltop Cottage in New Brunswick, Daily tous les jours' Human Perches in Quebec, and Lebel & Bouliane's Durham Spine & Pain Institute in Ontario. Copenhagen-based SLA won for Grønningen Bispeparken and a concept for Toronto's David Crombie Park. MJMA took a prize for the Hiwa Recreation Centre in New Zealand. Two buildings addressing homelessness—Michael Maltzan Architects' 26 Point 2 Apartments in Long Beach and mcCallumSather and Smart Density's 1120 Ossington in Toronto—were recognized. Mass timber projects like Montgomery Sisam's Koffler Scientific Reserve, Moriyama Teshima's Limberlost Place, and OOTT's Three Roofs Timber Hall in Nagano also won. People's Choice winners were selected by online vote, with some diverging from the jury's picks. The winners will be featured in the Summer 2026 issue of Azure.
