ATELIER ARS Wins Brick Award 26 for Clase Azul Hacienda Jalisco Warehouse

Mexican architecture firm ATELIER ARS has won the Working Together category at the Brick Award 26 for their project Warehouse and Offices for Clase Azul La Hacienda Jalisco, located in Tepatitlán de Morelos, Jalisco. The project, which includes storage, offices, bottling plant, and laboratories for tequila production, uses locally made bricks, clay tiles, and stone from site excavations. It combines regional techniques like Catalan vaults and load-bearing walls with contemporary industrial systems. The jury praised its synthesis of structure, materiality, and landscape. The award coincides with the publication of Nostalgia y transgresión, a monograph by Arquine covering ATELIER ARS's first fourteen years.
