Arte Laguna Prize Extends Deadline, Launches New Painting Award

The Arte Laguna Prize, a major international contemporary art competition based in Venice, has extended its registration deadline for the 21st edition to July 15, 2026. A new Special Painting Prize of €5,000 has been created, to be divided among three artists in the Painting category: two for oil on canvas works and one for other pictorial techniques. All entrants in this category automatically compete for the new prize, in addition to 13 other Special Prizes offering residencies, exhibitions, and international partnerships. Artists may submit up to five works in any category. Finalists will participate in a group exhibition at the Arsenale Nord in Venice from November 6 to 29, 2026, a venue that traditionally attracts curators, collectors, gallerists, and art professionals. The main prize winner will receive €10,000. All participants gain access to the Arte Laguna Prize's international network of opportunities, including residencies, exhibitions, and professional visibility programs.
