APE Grupo Architecture Awards 2026 Open for Submissions

Spanish firm APE Grupo has opened the fourth edition of its Architecture Awards, an international competition recognizing architecture and interior design projects using the company's ceramic materials. Submissions are open until November 13, with a €5,000 prize. The awards target architects, interior designers, landscape architects, and multidisciplinary studios of any nationality who have completed projects using ceramics from APE, Carmen, XLINING, or Ilbagno brands. Eligible works include new builds, renovations, rehabilitations, integrated spaces, and ephemeral installations. The jury is chaired by architect Sol Madridejos, co-founder of Sancho-Madridejos, whose work has been exhibited at MoMA New York, RIBA London, and the Venice Architecture Biennale. Other jurors include Gerard Sanmartí, co-founder of Lagranja Design, and Susana Babiloni, president of the Colegio Territorial de Arquitectos de Castellón. The 2025 edition attracted 53 projects from Europe, America, and Asia. The winning project was Casa sobre un zócalo de ladrillo by Ágora Arquitectura in Sant Vicenç dels Horts, Barcelona. Honorable mentions went to House O by Xstudio (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria) and WMF Showroom by Parch Studio (Belgrade, Serbia). APE Grupo, with over 30 years of history and a presence in 125+ countries, aims to promote ceramic innovation in contemporary architecture.
