Ana Lira é homenageada pela Fliporto Arte e defende autoria coletiva como método

Ana Lira, a Pernambuco-born artist, is being honored at Fliporto Arte for her impressive career spanning over 20 years in photography, radio art, literature, and Black celebratory practices. Originating from Caruaru, Lira has established a creative approach where listening takes precedence over creation, and co-authorship is emphasized. Her notable projects include Terrane (2015–2022), focusing on women who manage water cisterns, and Chama (2017–present), which features Black DJs and sound artists. In 2019, during her time in Guinea-Bissau, she entrusted her camera to a ten-year-old girl named Menina, leading to the radio art piece Nos Traquejos do Tempo [Vibração 03] (2023). A Journalism graduate from 2002, Lira advocates for fair recognition of all contributors and highlights the resource challenges in Brazil.
