Álex Grijelmo elected to seat 'o' of the Royal Spanish Academy
Álex Grijelmo has been appointed to lead 'o' at the Real Academia Española (RAE), aiming to advance journalism and public language discussions within the organization. He dedicated sixteen years to El País, where he managed the style guide. In 1999, he became the editorial director for Grupo Prisa's regional publications and in 2002, he took on the role of general director of Content for Prisa's media in the Americas. He served as president of Agencia EFE from 2004 to 2012, establishing Fundación del Español Urgente. He has authored significant works and will present his inaugural address to formally assume his role.
