Alessandra Leta wins Premio Sparti 2026 at Forte Malatesta in Ascoli Piceno

The fifth edition of the Premio Sparti, held at Forte Malatesta in Ascoli Piceno, concluded with the under-35 award going to Alessandra Leta (Milan, 1997) for her work "Dramma da Camera (doppio dittico)". The jury, chaired by Gabriele Perretta, praised the piece for weaving historical-artistic memory with contemporary research and engaging in dialogue with the Italian Renaissance tradition. Leta will receive a solo exhibition in the 2027 edition. A special mention was given to Sofia Boarino for "Vocal Photosynthesis". The prize, founded by Simone Sparti (Impresa Sparti) and Zeno Rossi, adopted a tripartite structure: "Essere oltre", "Essere qui", and "Essere altro". The accompanying exhibition "Dove finisce la città", curated by Alex Urso, featured artists including Andrea Mastrovito, Enrico Tealdi, Giuseppe Stampone, Marco Maria Zanin, Davide Maria Coltro, Denis Riva, Paola Tassetti, Luigi Presicce, Giovanni Gaggia, Chiara Valentini, Riccardo Angelini, Fabrizio Cotognini, Arianna Pace, Francesco Arena, and Martino Santori. The under-35 section was co-curated by Caterina Angelucci. The event also included a solo show by 2025 winner Wang Yuxiang.
