Aesthetica Art Prize 2026 Shortlist Announced with 20 International Artists

The Aesthetica Art Prize has announced its 2026 shortlist, featuring 20 international artists whose works address technological transformation, climate crisis, colonialism, and gender and racial justice. The exhibition will be held at York Art Gallery from 17 July to 15 November. Shortlisted artists include Kazuaki Koseki, Filip Haglund, Jarrett Murphy, Felipe Castelblanco, DIVA, Alexis Pichot, Claudia Behrensen, Hope Strickland, Jeonghan Yun, Edgar Martins, Neville Gabie, Sara Campaci, Teti, Yasuaki Matsuura, Neil Armstrong, Liza Dracup, Tommy Goguely, Magid Magid, Chrissy Lush, and Katharine Dowson. Works span painting, photography, sculpture, video, and installation. The next edition is open for entries until 11 October, with a £10,000 prize.
