2026 Sony World Photography Awards National and Regional Winners Announced

The World Photography Organization has revealed the winners of the 2026 Sony World Photography Awards National and Regional Awards. This year's competition received 430,000 submissions from more than 200 countries and territories across Open, Professional, and Student categories. Notable winners include Citlali Fabian of Mexico, who received the Latin America Professional Award for her series 'Bilha, Stories of my Sisters'; Avijit Ghosh of India, the inaugural recipient of the new India National Award for 'Keeper of Mangroves'; and Hayate Kurisu of Japan, who won the Japan National Award for 'Living Photographs'. The winning works will be displayed at Somerset House in London from April 17 to May 4, 2026. The awards program, supported by Sony and Creo Arts, aims to highlight photographic talent from specific geographic areas.
