2026 Emmy Nominations: The Pitt Leads with 25, Hacks Sets Comedy Record
On July 8 at 8:30 a.m. PT, the 2026 Emmy nominations were revealed during a live stream from the TV Academy's Saban Media Center, with former winners Liza Colón-Zayas and Jeff Hiller announcing the nominees. To better align with campaign schedules, the TV Academy opted for a single announcement day instead of splitting it into two. Leading the nominations, HBO Max received a total of 122. The Pitt topped all programs with 25 nominations, while Hacks set a new record for comedy series with 24. New shows were led by Widow's Bay with 19 nominations. The ceremony will be hosted by Mariska Hargitay on Monday, Sept. 14 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, airing live on NBC and Peacock.
