Prada's New Milan Headquarters by OMA to Feature Central Forest and Public Piazza

architecture-design · 2026-09-14

Prada Spa is set to establish a new headquarters at Via Orobia 3 in Milan, with design work by OMA, the studio led by Rem Koolhaas. Urban planning documents submitted to the Comune di Milano in 2026 detail an expansion of the facility from 7,600 to nearly 25,900 square meters. This development will include a central patio, buildings limited to 25 meters in height, a forest-garden, and green roofs. Additionally, a second Prada-owned site at Via Litta Modignani 66 will be revitalized into a public park. The existing structures on Via Orobia, acquired in November 2025 for around 66.6 million euros, will be demolished, including the Marchesi 1824 pastry lab. The initiative is part of the Scalo di Porta Romana transformation. Author: Massimiliano Tonelli, published in Artribune.
