Mimesi del sogno: Mindshapes' Dreamlike Installation at Villa Erba for Orticolario 2026
From October 1 to 4, 2026, Villa Erba on Lake Como will host Orticolario, featuring a site-specific installation titled Mimesi del sogno, designed by Mindshapes, Luca Meraviglia, and Stefano Turconi, under the theme En Reverie. The installation includes a two-tiered pathway: the first tier showcases a blooming meadow filled with Aster and Salvia, while the second tier is adorned with vibrant tropical plants inspired by Henri Rousseau, highlighting issues of climate change and ecosystem shifts. At the heart of the installation is La Cascata che Sale, a sculpture by Mindshapes and Turconi, created through 3D printing by Totum 3D, emphasizing sustainability. Additionally, a sound performance by IDRA, part of Francesco Piccolomini Bandini's 40Hz project, enriched the overall experience by blending sound, space, and perception.
